The Board of Directors, staff, and friends of the Cross Village Rug Works invite you to join them in their mission to serve as architects for change in their Northern Michigan communities. Much has been accomplished since the inception of the Cross Village Rug Works in May 2007, but much more is required to reach our goal of being financially self-sustaining by the year 2011.
Our total expenses this year, as we hire and train Artisans, complete our building, and purchase necessary production materials, are over $100,000. The operating budget will increase over the next three years with greater Artisan staffing and production materials, leading to a projected shortfall of another $100,000.
We are asking that you consider a three-year pledge to help us toward achieving financial sustainability. If we reach our goal, there will be no additional annual fundraising for the Cross Village Rug Works; our mission will be maintained through the sales of fiber arts products and workshop tuitions.
Please fill out and return the enclosed slip with your gift, which is fully tax-deductible.

Rug Works and Good Shepherds
“For good shepherds, lambing is a time of joy, hope, opportunity, responsibility.
For new lambs, it is a time to be sheltered, nurtured, cared for, loved…
For us, at this time, witnessing the birth of the Cross Village Rug Works,
like a new lamb, requires of us to be the good shepherds,
making this our time of joy, hope, opportunity, responsibility.”
